      This time of year is very special to many, including one of the owners of The Bean, Leslie Gerrish. This year, we are hosting a fundraiser to give you the green you need for March 17!

      All funds raised will go towards the PS We Love You Fund. This fund is named after Leslie's nephew, Patrick Stephen. Patrick passed away in 2016 from cancer; and his wish was to help other children faced with similar battles. The fund supports the precision genomics program at Riley Children's Hospital in Indiana (where Patrick lived). This program proposes to use changes in tumor genetics or gene expression for a more personalized treatment for children with aggressive cancers. 

      Leslie's family wears shamrocks over their hearts in March; Patrick was born on March 17 and passed away on March 10 just shy of his 20th birthday. 

      We hope you will wear this shamrock and show your love of The Bean while giving back to such a special cause.
